I am a big fan of Eataly for their authentic Italian food! I came here for the first time about 10 years ago and walked around and tasted some wines, cheeses, and pizza, but am ordering from here a lot more often now that I live in River North. I just got back from Italy a few weeks ago and am so excited that I have Eataly so close to order authentic Italian groceries and food. Today I ordered delivery from Uber Eats as I was craving authentic Italian food. I ordered Bucatini Cacio and Pepe as well as the Salumiere Pizza. Both were exactly what I was looking for! The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly Al dente. The light cheesy creamy sauce was excellent. When I took a bite of the Salumiere pizza I was taken back to Sorrento! The only negative was I needed to nuke both dishes in the microwave which can happen with delivery. In the past few months I have also ordered La Spaghetto Al Pomodoro, Gnocci Al Pesto e Pecorino, and Tiramisu. I enjoyed all of them, with the Pomodoro being my favorite so far. I haven't attended any of their past events or classes, but they always have things going on here and I look forward to visiting more soon in person in the near future.
Cool concept for the peripatetic to get a taste of Italy at Eataly. We picked up focaccia for a picnic at Navy Pier. I will admit, it was the focaccia underwhelming. If I could rewind I'd plan to sample most of the eateries. The cheese selection is impressive. Fresh pasta? Don't mind if I do. Raw bar? Wow. Love the concept, would come back
Our server, Chris, was phenomenal! He was helpful, professional, fun, and courteous. He is a gem! Give this guy a raise. He deserved it-- a great marketing tool for Eataly!
The food was delicious very authentic. Our server Chris was the the best, he explained everything on the men. He needs a Big raise
I'm visiting from So Cal on Business and visited Eataly for the first time. Had the experience of a life time from Derek. Nobody better in my 54 years. Highly recommended. Mike Sanchez
Yum! I haven't been here in a LONG time and it still tastes delicious! We got the calamari, bruschetta primavera, and zucchini fritters. We also got this pasta with light cream sauce and shrimp, and pizza marinara. We got the week restaurant deal with 2 for $26..1 app and 1 main course. You can also order wine that pours about 3-4 glasses from $30-60. Calamari was delicious but it was small with fried zucchini. I felt I got cheated on this for $21. I expected more. Zucchini fritters- yummmm! It tasted like buttered pretzel bread and zucchini. Bruschetta Primavera was not what we expected. Definitely needed to read the description. It was whipped ricotta with basil, pesto, and greens. It was okay. A bit heavy! Maybe add some truffle Pasta with shrimp- delicious! The angel hair pasta was so fresh! Shrimp was delicious. I could had more! Pizza marinara- we didn't know that it was just literally bread with sauce. I thought it was margarita pizza. Liessss Wine was delicious that the waiter recommended. Service was on point. We loved having an Italian waiter. It literally felt like you were in Italy. He was so attentive!
Came here on a Tuesday night and it proves to be true again that you can't never go wrong with Eataly. We walked around for 20 mins and spotted 100000 things that we'd like to buy. We ended up buying this spicy tomato source that we've never seen before. The environment is just very welcoming with bright lights and open seats. We ordered a couple of appetizers with flight wine. Not only the food was served in a timely manner, they also frequently checked with us on how we were doing. I highly recommend the flight wine. You can pick red, white, mix, etc. I ended up with Sicilian flight and it was amazing. Will come back for sure!
